There have been so many changes in immigration laws in the last decade, you may be confused as to how to proceed. The process of immigrating to the United States is complex involving complicated applications, long processing times, and several interviews. I am committed to helping you and your loved ones through this process and helping you prepare for the interviews that are required. I provide the following services to clients in San Diego, California:

• Family Petitions — when a family member is living outside the United States, you as a U.S. citizen may file a petition to bring them to the U.S. legally. These petitions cover parents, siblings, and in some cases, may also cover a fiancé. I will guide you through the process, make sure you understand the documentation requirements, and help you prepare for the required interviews.
• Citizenship – becoming a citizen can be accomplished through marriage to a U.S. citizen, or through military service. None of these processes is immediate; you must have been married for three years, or lived in the U.S. for five years, or served in the military. Some find this process easy while others find there are numerous hurdles to overcome. I will work hard to help you through this complex process and make sure your applications are completed thoroughly to avoid any unneeded delays.
• Residency – to qualify for residency, you must have a valid green card. While the DACA (deferred action for childhood arrivals) program is still in place, there are requirements which must be met to maintain your status. Green card renewals must be handled in a timely manner or you risk immediate deportation. I can help you with renewals or residency issues to ensure you are legally living in California.
